JIO BLOCKCHAIN BASED REWARDS PROGRAMME
  1. SCOPE:
    1. The Jio ad rewards programme, currently referred to as the Blockchain Based Reward Programme ('BBRP'), and any rebranded or successor version of the BBRP Reward Programme, (“Rewards Programme”) is designed, offered and operated by Jio Platforms Limited and/or its affiliates (“Company”, “We,” “Us” and “Our”) located at 101, Saffron Near Centre Point, Panchwati 5 Rasta, Ambavadi Ahmedabad –380 006, Gujarat, India.
    2. The Rewards Programme is an advertisement-based initiative aimed at rewarding eligible users (“Users” or “You” or “Your”), subject to their consent, for specific interactions and engagements across the Company's applications and services. Through the Rewards Programme, Users can earn and redeem tokens currently known as the BBRP Tokens (“Tokens”), and includes any rebranded or successor version of the BBRP Tokens. The Tokens are blockchain-based digital tokens pegged in value to the Indian Rupee (INR). The Tokens are issued and managed within the BBRP Vault.
    3. We aim to ensure a seamless and rewarding experience with our Rewards Programme. To achieve this, it is crucial that You carefully review and understand these terms and conditions that specify the terms and conditions governing Your participation in the Rewards Programme (“Terms”). These Terms form a legal contract between You and the Company.
    4. Your participation and enrolment in the Rewards Programme requires that You agree (and continue to adhere) to these Terms and the BBRP Privacy Policy available here. By participating and enrolling in the Rewards Programme, You acknowledge that You have read, understood and that You consent to be governed and bound by these Terms and the BBRP Privacy Policy. If You do not agree with any part of these Terms, You should not participate or enrol in the Rewards Programme.
    5. The Terms constitute an electronic record in terms of the Information Technology Act, 2000 (as amended / re-enacted / replaced) and rules thereunder, and is published in accordance with the provisions of Rule 3 (1) of Information Technology (Intermediaries Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics code) Rules, 2021, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and rules thereunder, which mandates publishing of rules and regulations, privacy policy and terms of use for participation in the Rewards Programme. This electronic record is generated by a computer system and does not require any physical or digital signatures.
  2. PRIVACY AND PROTECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION:
    1. In addition to these Terms, You are required to read, acknowledge, and agree to the terms of use and privacy policy applicable to the relevant product that is integrated with the Rewards Programme available via the Company applications and services, which apply to you in connection with, amongst others, the collection, processing, and usage of your personal information Programme in connection with your use of that product. By participating in the Rewards Programme, you consent to the handling of your personal data in accordance with these Terms and the BBRP Privacy Policy available here.
  3. MODIFICATIONS:
    1. Modifications of these Terms: The Company reserves the right to update and/or modify these Terms under which the Rewards Programme is offered. The Terms may be further modified based on changes in the business, legal and regulatory requirements and will be updated online from time to time. We will use commercially reasonable endeavours to notify You whenever there is any changes to these Terms in accordance with the provisions of applicable law. To stay informed of any updates, You are encouraged to periodically review these Terms in the BBRP Vault. Your continued participation in the Rewards Programme following any updates constitutes Your acceptance of the revised Terms. If You disagree with any modifications, You must discontinue Your participation in the Rewards Programme immediately.
    2. Modification of Rewards Programme: The Company reserves the right to add, modify, or remove any content, functionality, or features of the Rewards Programme at any time. Such changes may include, but are not limited to, the introduction of new features, alterations to the token earning or redemption mechanics, changes to the redemption value of the Tokens, or removal of specific functionalities. These modifications aim to improve user experience, adapt to technological advancements, or comply with evolving business and/or regulatory requirements. While We endeavour to minimize disruptions, You acknowledge that participation in the Rewards Programme is subject to such changes, and the Company shall not be liable for any impact these modifications may have on Your use or experience.
  4. ELIGIBILITY FOR PARTICIPATION:
    1. To participate in the Rewards Programme, You must meet the following eligibility criteria:
        2. a) Age of Majority: You must be at least 18 years of age.
        b) Good Standing with the Company: You must not have been previously suspended, terminated, or removed from accessing any of Our or Our affiliates’ services or participating in any of Our or Our affiliates’ Programmes, including the Rewards Programme.
        c) Legal Capacity and Authority: You must have the full legal power, authority, and capacity to enter accept and comply with these Terms. By agreeing to these Terms, You represent and warrant that Your participation does not, and will not, conflict with or violate any other agreement, obligation, or restriction to which You are bound.
        d) Redemption Eligibility: To redeem the Tokens, You must additionally: (i) meet all specific requirements and conditions outlined for redemption (as per the phased implementation of the Rewards Programme), including possession of a valid Jio mobile number, Indian mobile number, or UPI-linked bank account, as applicable; (ii) provide any documentation or undertake verification as required by the Company to validate Your eligibility for redemption, including know your customer (KYC) verification; and (iii) Comply with any additional eligibility criteria set forth by the Company from time to time in these Terms.
    2. You agree that failure to satisfy any of these eligibility requirements will render You ineligible to participate in the Rewards Programme. The Company reserves the right to verify Your eligibility at any time (and thereafter from time to time) and take appropriate action, including suspension or termination of Your participation, if You are found to be in breach of these requirements.
  5. REGISTRATION AND BBRP VAULT:
    1. To participate and enrol in the Rewards Programme, You must first register with the Company through the Company and/or its affiliates’ applications and/or services where You can earn Tokens. Upon successful registration, You will be assigned a Web3 wallet that enables blockchain-based functionalities for managing the Tokens you earn (the “BBRP Vault”). The BBRP Vault allows You to store, track, manage, transfer and utilize the Tokens earned through the Rewards Programme, albeit some of these features will be available in a phased manner as determined by the Company in its sole discretion.
      You agree that the BBRP Vault is exclusively for storing Tokens issued by the Company. You must not use the BBRP Vault to store any other rewards, tokens, or digital assets that are not part of the Rewards Programme.
      Any misuse of the BBRP Vault, including but not limited to storing unauthorized assets or engaging in fraudulent activities, grants the Company the right to take appropriate actions against You. Such actions may include temporary suspension, permanent revocation of access, or any other remedial measures deemed necessary to ensure the integrity and security of the Rewards Programme.
    2. When registering and using the BBRP Vault, You must :
        3. a) Create a strong and secure password that is unique and not used for any other website or online service to ensure the safety of Your BBRP Vault.
        b) Provide truthful, accurate, and up-to-date information during the account creation process to enable effective participation in the Rewards Programmes;
        c) Update Your registration information promptly to reflect any changes during Your use of the Rewards Programme or participation in related activities;
        d) Safeguard Your BBRP Vault by securing access to Your devices, password, and any associated private keys;
        e) Notify the Company immediately upon discovery or suspicion of any unauthorized access, loss, or security breach related to Your BBRP Vault;
        f) Be fully accountable for all activities conducted through Your BBRP Vault, including both authorised and unauthorised access, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law; and
        g) Upon creation of the BBRP Vault, You will be assigned a unique account identifier by the Company. Retain this identifier securely, as it is essential for accessing Your account and participating in the Rewards Programme.
  6. EARNING AND REDEMPTION OF TOKENS:
    1. Earning of Tokens: You can earn the Tokens, which will be credited to Your BBRP Vault on a quarterly basis, by participating in various activities through the Company's and/or its affiliates' applications and services. These activities may include, but are not limited to:
        2. a) Watching promotional content and advertisements provided by the Company, or affiliates or its Participating Members;

        b) Engaging with rich communication features and services offered through the Company’s or its affiliates’ platforms;

        c) Joining promotional campaigns, contests, or events hosted by the Company, its affiliates or its Participating Members; and

        d) Such other activities as determined and updated by the Company from time to time.

    2. You agree that earning the Tokens is contingent upon the Company’s determination (at its sole discretion) that You have fully complied with all terms and conditions governing the activity, including any applicable additional terms. The Company reserves the right to verify Your participation and compliance before awarding Tokens and may withhold or adjust the Tokens if terms are not met. You are encouraged to check the Company’s applications and services regularly for updates on new opportunities to earn Tokens.
    3. Redemption of Tokens: The Tokens can be redeemed for goods and services offered by the Company, its affiliates, or Participating Members in the manner informed by the Company to You from time to time. The Company will undertake a phased approach in connection with the redemption of Tokens. The Company will inform you of additional avenues for redemption of Tokens as they become available from time to time.
    4. Restrictions:
        5. a) The Tokens may be subject to expiration periods or usage restrictions if required or mandated by Our policies or by applicable law.

        b) Users may be required to provide documentation or complete verification processes to validate eligibility for redemption.
  7. DISCONTINUANCE OF REWARDS PROGRAMME:
    1. Discretionary Suspension or Termination: The Company reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to modify, temporarily suspend, or permanently discontinue any portion of the Rewards Programme or related services at any time, without liability to You and with or without prior notice.
    2. Notification of Changes: : Notwithstanding the above, the Company will endeavour to notify You of any significant changes to the Services (defined below) or these Terms as follows:
        3. a) For routine updates or modifications that do not have a material impact on the Rewards Programme or Your participation, the Company will notify You as soon as reasonably practicable after the changes are made.
        b) If any changes are significant in nature or deemed unfavourable to You; (i) the Company will endeavour to notify you as soon as reasonably practicable before such changes become effective; or (ii) if immediate implementation is necessary (e.g., to comply with legal or regulatory requirements), the Company will endeavour to notify you as soon as reasonably practicable following such changes becoming effective.
        Such notifications may be provided through in-app alerts, email, or other communication channels associated with Your BBRP Vault.
    3. By continuing to participate in the Rewards Programme after the effective date of any such changes, You acknowledge and agree to be bound by the revised Terms. If You do not agree to the updated Terms, You must discontinue Your participation in the Rewards Programme and cease using the Rewards Programme immediately.
  8. ASSUMTION OF RISK:
    1. You acknowledge that the Rewards Programme utilises the internet and agree that any back-end development of the Rewards Programme carries certain inherent risks, which may include but are not limited to:
        2. a) Technical Failures: Risks arising from hardware malfunctions, software glitches, or internet connection issues;
        b) Security Vulnerabilities: Risks of malicious software, phishing attempts, or other unauthorized third-party activities; and
        c) Unauthorized Access: Risks of third parties gaining access to Your BBRP Vault due to vulnerabilities.

        The Company shall not be held liable for any communication failures, disruptions, errors, or delays You may experience while using the Services, regardless of the cause.
    2. The Company disclaims responsibility and liability for losses, damages, or claims arising from Your participation in the Rewards Programme, including but not limited to (i) passwords being compromised through brute-force attacks or negligence; (ii) server failures, outages, or data corruption; (iii) lost or forgotten passwords preventing access; (iv) corruption or loss of wallet files; (iv) mistyped addresses or improperly constructed transactions; (v) access by unauthorised parties due to inadequate security measures; or (vi) losses due to data breaches, phishing, malware, hacking, or other unauthorized activities by third parties.
  9. THIRD PARTY SERVICES AND CONTENT:
    1. When participating in the Rewards Programme, You may encounter content or utilise services offered by Our affiliates or third party service providers (“Participating Members”), including links to external web pages or services provided by such Participating Members (“Third-Party Content”), accessed through various means, such as Rich Communication Services (RCS).
    2. You acknowledge and agree to the following:
        3. a) We do not control, endorse, or adopt any Third-Party Content;

        b) We disclaim any responsibility for Third-Party Content, which may include material that is misleading, incomplete, erroneous, offensive, indecent, or otherwise objectionable;

        c) Any business dealings, correspondence, or transactions You engage in with the Participating Members are solely between You and the Participating Members;

        d) We are not a party to, nor are we responsible or liable for, any disputes, losses, or damages resulting from such dealings and as such disclaim all responsibility to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law; and

        e) Your use of Third-Party Content, and any interactions with the Participating Members, is conducted entirely at Your own discretion and risk
    3. By engaging with Third-Party Content, You accept that the Company is not liable for You engaging with Third-Party Content. You accept that the Company is not liable for the accuracy, quality, or safety of such content or services. Users are encouraged to exercise caution and carefully review the terms and conditions of third parties before engaging with their content or services.
  10. ACCEPTABLE USE:
    1. By participating in the Rewards Programme, You acknowledge that Your participation is entirely voluntary. You agree to comply with all applicable laws, regulations, contracts, and third-party rights and are solely responsible for Your conduct while participating in the Rewards Programme. You further agree to refrain from engaging in any activity that violates these Terms, any applicable law, and including, but not limited to, the following prohibited actions:
    2. Prohibited Activities
        3. a) Using the Rewards Programme, BBRP Vault or Tokens (collectively referred to as “Services”) in any manner that could interfere with, disrupt, negatively affect, or inhibit other users from fully enjoying the Services or that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair the functioning of the Services in any way;

        b) You agree not to use the Services to pay for, support, or otherwise engage in any illegal activity, including, but not limited to, gambling, betting, fraud, money laundering, or terrorist activities;

        c) You agree not to employ robots, spiders, crawlers, scrapers, or any other automated means to access the Services or extract data without authorization;

        d) You agree not to engage in any practices that could be considered deceptive, fraudulent, or manipulative, including the creation or use of false identities, impersonation, misrepresentation of Your affiliation with any person or entity or violates any law for the time being in force;

        e) You agree not to engage in automated data collection (e.g., scraping) unless solely for search indexing for display on the Internet; f) You agree not to use or attempt to use another User's BBRP Vault; g) You agree not to introduce of viruses, trojans, worms, logic bombs, or any other harmful or malicious material to the Services; h) You agree not to provide false, inaccurate, or misleading information in any aspect of Your interaction with the Services; i) You agree not to monitor the Applications’ and Service’s availability, performance, or functionality for any competitive purposes or to develop a competing product; j) You agree that You will not, directly or indirectly, make, publish, or communicate any statement, whether written, oral, or electronic, that disparages, defames, or negatively portrays the Company, its affiliates, Participating Members, the Services. This includes but is not limited to false or misleading statements that could harm the reputation, goodwill, or commercial interests of the Company or its affiliates and partners; and k) You agree not to encourage, induce, or aid any third party to engage in any of the activities prohibited under this section.
    3. Users who violate these acceptable use Terms may be subject to suspension, termination, or other appropriate actions, including legal recourse where necessary, at the Company’s sole discretion.
  11. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS:
    1. All intellectual property rights, including but not limited to trademarks, service marks, logos, designs, text, software, graphics, images, and any other materials or content related to the Services are owned by the Company, its affiliates, or its licensors. Such Services are protected under applicable copyright, trademark, patent, and other intellectual property laws.
    2. Subject to Your compliance with these Terms, the Company grants You a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and non-sublicensable license to access and use the Services solely for Your personal, lawful, and non-commercial participation in the Programme.
    3. You agree not to: (a) copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, publicly display, publicly perform, republish, download, store, transmit, or exploit any part of the Rewards Programme, BBRP Vault, or the Tokens without prior written consent from the Company; (b) use the Company’s trademarks, service marks, logos, or other proprietary marks without explicit written authorization; (c) remove, obscure, or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices displayed within the Rewards Programme, BBRP Vault, or on any documentation associated with the Tokens; and (d) decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code, object code or any software associated with the Rewards Programme or BBRP Vault.
    4. All rights, title, and interest in the Services remain exclusively with the Company, affiliates and its licensors. No rights or licenses, express or implied, are granted to You other than those explicitly provided in these Terms.
    5. Any unauthorized use, reproduction, or distribution of the Services may result in immediate suspension or termination of Your access to the Services and may subject You to legal action, including civil and/or criminal penalties.
  12. SUSPENSION AND TERMINATION:
    1. Suspension: The Company reserves the right, at its sole discretion and without liability, to suspend Your access to all or a portion of the Services under the following circumstances:
        2. a) Occurrence of a Force Majeure Event that impacts the Company’s ability to provide services;
        b) Breach or violation of these Terms or any related policies including the BBRP Privacy Policy;
        c) Situations where the continued provision of Services becomes commercially unreasonable for the Company;
        d) Any misuse of the BBRP Vault; or
        e) Any other circumstances as deemed necessary by the Company to safeguard its Services, systems, or Users.
    2. Termination: The Company may terminate Your access to the Services at its sole discretion, effective immediately and without prior notice, under the following conditions:
        3. a) If You are found to have breached any term or condition outlined in these Terms;
        b) If You are involved in fraudulent, illegal, or prohibited activities in connection with the Services;
        c) If the Company determines that Your actions or account usage pose a risk to its systems, other Users, or its reputation; or
        d) If required by applicable law, regulation, or governmental order.
    3. Consequences of Termination: Upon termination:
        4. a) Your account and all related information, including the stored Tokens, may be deleted or deactivated;
        b) You will no longer have access to the Rewards Programme or Your BBRP Vault; and
        c) Any remaining Tokens or benefits accrued through the Rewards Programme may be forfeited at the Company’s sole discretion, subject to applicable laws.
    4. The Company shall not be held liable for any loss or damage arising from suspension or termination of Your access to the Services, including but not limited to the loss of any accrued and/or credited Tokens.
  13. CONFIDENTIALITY:
    1. You agree not to disclose any information including without limitation software, technology, programing, technical specifications, materials, guidelines, emails, commercials and documentation, develops or obtains that relate to the Services, and any other information designated in writing by the Company as “confidential” or any designation to the same effect (“Confidential Information”). The Confidential Information does not include information that has become publicly known through no breach by You, or information that (a) has been independently developed without access to the Company’s Confidential Information as evidenced in writing; or (b) is required to be disclosed by law or by a governmental authority.
  14. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES:
    1. THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED TO YOU ON AN “AS-IS” AND “WHERE-IS” BASIS. THE COMPANY MAKES NO REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, REGARDING THE SERVICES, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ITS SELECTION, QUALITY, DESIGN, CONDITION, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT OF THIRD PARTY RIGHTS OR FREEDOM FROM CLAIMS OF COPYRIGHT OR PATENT INFRINGEMENT. THE COMPANY EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES AND REPRESENTATIONS TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMISSIBLE UNDER APPLICABLE LAW, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO (I) WARRANTIES OF THE AVAILABILITY, ACCURACY, USEFULNESS, AND RELIABILITY OF INFORMATION, SERVICES, OR CONTENT PROVIDED THROUGH THE SERVICES; (II) ANY WARRANTIES ARISING FROM COURSE OF DEALING, COURSE OF PERFORMANCE, OR USAGE OF TRADE; (III) WARRANTIES OF TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, MERCHANTABILITY, OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
    2. THE COMPANY DOES NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICES, OR ANY ASSOCIATED CONTENT, FEATURES, OR FUNCTIONS DOESNOT VIOLATE ANY APPLICABLE LAWS OR WILL BE SECURE, UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, OR ERROR-FREE. WE MAKE NO WARRANTY THAT OUR PLATFORMS OR SERVICES WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS OR THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED. THE COMPANY ASSUMES NO RESPONSIBILITY AND SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGE OR LOSS ARISING FROM THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICES, INCLUDING ANY VIRUSES OR HARMFUL COMPONENTS THAT MAY INFECT YOUR DEVICE.
    3. There are inherent risks associated with the use of blockchain technology, including but not limited to (i) risks due to faulty or insufficient hardware, software, or internet connections; (ii) risks of hacking, unauthorized access to Your BBRP Vault, or theft/diversion of funds; (iii) volatility in value; and (iv) risk of changes in applicable laws, including taxation.
    4. By participating in the Rewards Programme or using the BBRP Vault, You acknowledge and agree that the operation of the Services does not create an advisory relationship and should not be considered as investment advice. The Company does not provide financial, investment, or legal advice regarding any transactions made through the Services.
    5. THE COMPANY DOES NOT GUARANTEE THE SECURITY, FUNCTIONALITY, OR CONTINUITY OF BLOCKCHAIN NETWORKS OR DIGITAL WALLETS ASSOCIATED WITH THE BBRP VAULT OR TOKENS. YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY LOSS, INCLUDING DATA LOSS, ACCESS FAILURE, OR UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO YOUR ACCOUNT OR WALLET.
    6. The Company is not responsible for any losses incurred through the use of the Services, including but not limited to losses due to: (i) errors, forgotten credentials, or improper transactions; (ii) server failures, data corruption, or loss of digital wallet files; or (iii) unauthorized access or attacks on Your BBRP Vault, including viruses or phishing schemes. The Company's liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.
  15. INDEMNITY
    1. You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Company, its affiliates, directors, officers, employees, agents, contractors, and licensors (collectively, the “Indemnified Parties”) from and against any and all claims, actions, demands, liabilities, losses, damages, costs, expenses, fines, penalties, or settlements (including reasonable legal fees and expenses) arising from; (i) your violation of these Terms or the BBRP Privacy Policy; (ii) your use of the Services, or any content associated with the Services; (iii) your breach of any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights; (iv) any disputes, claims, or actions involving third parties arising out of Your participation in the Rewards Programme; and (v) any claims or damages arising out of any unauthorized use of Your BBRP Vault or credentials.
  16. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY:
    1. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Company and its affiliates will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to (i) your use or inability to use the Services, (ii) the performance, delay, or non-performance of the Services, (iii) any transaction or interaction related to the Tokens, (iv) unauthorized access or tampering with Your account, wallet, or personal information, (v) any errors, omissions, interruptions, or malfunctions in the Services, (vi) any third-party content, services, or websites linked to or from the Services, (vii) any virus, malware, or other harmful material introduced through the Services, (viii) any failure, delay, or malfunction in the blockchain or decentralized ledger systems, or (ix) any risks associated with the volatile nature of Tokens.
  17. GOVERNING LAW AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION::
    1. These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of India. The courts at Mumbai, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction to hear disputes arising out of, or in connection with, these Terms.
  18. FORCE MAJEURE:
    1. The Company shall be under no liability whatsoever in the event of non-availability of all or any portion of the Services occasioned by act of God, war, disease, revolution, riot, civil commotion, strike, lockout, flood, fire, failure of any public utility, manmade disaster, infrastructure failure, pandemic or any other cause whatsoever beyond the control of the Company (“Force Majeure Event”).
  19. SEVERABILITY:
    1. If any of the provisions of these Terms are deemed invalid, void, or for any reason unenforceable, that part of these Terms will be deemed severable and will not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions of these Terms.
  20. ASSIGNMENT:
    1. You may not assign or transfer Your rights or obligations under these Terms to anyone without Our consent. However, You agree that the Company may assign its rights and/or obligations under these Terms to any affiliate or third party without Your consent. There are no third-party beneficiaries to these Terms, other than as explicitly provided herein.
